the ART FUND PAVILION, LONDON

Through the combined efforts of Woking residents, they have been able realize their dream of creating a gallery and museum. The recognition of their achievement by the ART FUND deserves this pavilion to commemorate the award.
The design of the pavilion seeks to celebrate the achievement of the Lightbox and to further encourage such collaborations in addressing the general needs of humanity. The design seeks to be a mouth piece and a bridge between the Lightbox and the necessity of similar collaborations in other places and in other aspects of life. The pavilion is in the form of a weave with one end dense and the other end loose, requiring the addition of more material. The loose side which is towards the courtyard gate calls on its visitors to get involved and take the dreams of other communities closer to reality.
